  What is on in one city over the coming days: for each event its name, the venue, the date and time, and a link to the listing. Concerts, festivals, sport, markets — whatever the city's own newsroom has announced.

  Today's local news of one city: for each item a title, a short summary, the source and a link to the full article. Text comes in the newsroom's own language — Russian, Thai, Arabic or Chinese — and covers what a city portal publishes about itself, not national wires.
